Festive Candle Making Workshop

Join us for a 2-hour Festive Candle Making and Scent Exploration Workshop with Lucinda, from The Burning Bright.

Saturday 15th November at Makers Barn.

You will make and get to take away with you three pinch pot candles, all packaged beautifully, and ready in time for Christmas. 

At the workshop, Lucinda will talk you through some of her own candle creations to inspire you, followed by a brief introduction to essential oils. You will be using natural botanical oils to fragrance the candles with all the wonderful scents of Christmas. Think cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, orange, cedar wood and so much more. 

We'll also cover the basics of creating your own natural fragrance, including layering, top notes, base notes, and using essential oils for aromatherapy.

You'll then mix your own natural fragrances (with Lucinda's help!) and create your very own blend of essential oils to form the base of your candle scent. 

Next, you'll combine your custom fragrance with natural soy wax, wick your handmade pots and pour your three candles. As the candles set you can decorate them with natural botanicals - crystals, pressed flowers, and the foliage of Christmas. Finally, you will package them in individual bags to give as gifts, or in a box for you to enjoy yourself. 

Tea and coffee will be served.
