Join Claire Gaudion for a basket making workshop to make a Guernsey courge. Courges are fishing baskets traditionally used to store fresh sandeels. They are also great decorative baskets to hang in the home and use to store various items.
Course will run over two days.
Enjoy a wonderful couple of days in an idyllic rural setting. We will be working outdoors, under shelter for rain or shine, and taking in the incredible views of West Sussex countryside while we weave.
All materials and tools will be provided.
Delicious refreshments including teas and coffee and lunch will be provided.
Making a willow courge involves working with willow and a selection of hand held tools, and strong hands. That said, it is suitable for beginners or those with willow experience.
